Jodhpur, October 18 (Udaipur Kiran): To provide greater travel convenience during Diwali and Chhath Puja, Indian Railways has announced the operation of several Festival Special Trains connecting key destinations. Among these, a weekly Jodhpur–Mau Special and a Jodhpur–Bandra Terminus Special will begin service this week.

According to North Western Railway’s Jodhpur Divisional Railway Manager (DRM) Anurag Tripathi, the Jodhpur–Mau Festival Special Train (04823) will depart from Jodhpur at 5:30 PM on October 19. It will travel via Merta Road, Jaipur, Mathura Junction, Lucknow, and Ayodhya Dham, reaching Mau Junction at 11:20 PM the next day.
For the return journey, the Mau–Jodhpur Special (04824) will leave Mau at 4:00 AM on October 21 (Tuesday) and arrive in Jodhpur at 8:55 AM the following day, passing through Jaipur.
Similarly, to further ease festive rush, the Jodhpur–Bandra Terminus–Jodhpur Festival Special (04825/04826) will operate for two trips via Jaipur. The first trip from Jodhpur will depart at 5:30 PM on October 22 (Wednesday) and reach Bandra Terminus at 6:20 PM the next day, passing through Merta Road, Jaipur, Kota, and Vadodara. The return train from Bandra Terminus will depart at 9:20 PM on October 23 (Thursday) and reach Jodhpur at 9:45 PM the next day.
These special services aim to ensure smoother and more comfortable travel for passengers during the festive season.
