Bhopal, August 3 (Udaipur Kiran) – The railway administration has canceled seven trains and diverted four others ahead of the Raksha Bandhan festival. Trains like the Rajdhani and Chhattisgarh Express are among those affected, causing inconvenience to over 1.5 lakh passengers. They will have to find alternative means of transport to celebrate the festival. In this regard, West Central Railway CPRO Harshit Srivastava said that some trains have been canceled due to technical reasons, while others will be operated on diverted routes keeping the convenience of passengers in mind.
The canceled trains include the Korba-Amritsar Chhattisgarh Express (on 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, and 15 August), Amritsar-Bilaspur Chhattisgarh Express (on 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, and 17 August), Nizamuddin-Raigarh Gondwana Express (on 12, 13, 14, 15, and 17 August), Raigarh-Nizamuddin Gondwana Express (on 14, 15, 16, 17, and 19 August), New Delhi-Bilaspur Rajdhani Express (on 13 August), Bilaspur-New Delhi Rajdhani Express (on 15 August), and Shalimar Express (from 11 to 17 August).
Additionally, four trains will be operated via diverted routes. The 20806 New Delhi-Visakhapatnam AP Express will run via Rayanapadu-Gunadala instead of its regular route until August 10. The 20805 Visakhapatnam-New Delhi AP Express will also run via Gunadala-Rayanapadu instead of its regular route until August 10. The 12804 Hazrat Nizamuddin-Visakhapatnam Swarn Jayanti Express will run via Rayanapadu-Gunadala on August 4 and 7. The 12803 Visakhapatnam-Hazrat Nizamuddin Swarn Jayanti Express will run via Gunadala-Rayanapadu on August 5 and 9.
