New Delhi, October 20 (Udaipur Kiran): Shares of PTC Industries rose over 1.6% in early trading on Monday after the company signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Bharat Dynamics Limited (BDL) to establish a joint venture focused on developing advanced defence propulsion systems and aero-engines.
The stock opened at Rs. 16,979.30 on the BSE and climbed to a high of Rs. 17,369.85, before trading at Rs. 17,085.00, up Rs. 274.15 or 1.63% from its previous close of Rs. 16,810.85. About 871 shares changed hands during early trade. The company’s market capitalisation currently stands at Rs. 25,779.59 crore.
In the past 52 weeks, the stock has touched a high of Rs. 17,978.00 (January 9, 2025) and a low of Rs. 9,786.30 (February 20, 2025). The promoter holding in the company stands at 59.75%, with institutional investors holding 11.63% and non-institutional investors owning 28.61%.
Under the MoU, PTC Industries and Bharat Dynamics will collaborate to design, develop, and manufacture complete propulsion systems, guided bombs, and aero-engines for missiles, UAVs, and loitering munitions, subject to regulatory approvals.
The partnership aims to strengthen India’s defence manufacturing ecosystem under the ‘Make in India’ initiative, reducing reliance on foreign suppliers and enhancing domestic capabilities in liquid and solid rocket motors, ramjet, and turbojet engines. The joint venture will also leverage PTC’s existing expertise in precision metal components and critical materials for defence and aerospace applications, creating an integrated India-based design-to-delivery platform for strategic propulsion technologies.
