Power Cut in Ranchi, October 27: Several Areas to Face Electricity Shutdown from 9 AM to 4:30 PM
Ranchi, October 27, 2026 (Udaipur Kiran): Several areas in Ranchi will experience scheduled power cuts on Tuesday due to maintenance and technical work by the electricity department. The work includes replacing old wires, installing aerial bundled (AB) cables, transformer maintenance and trimming tree branches along power lines.
Most of the work will be carried out under the Revamped Distribution Sector Scheme (RDSS). Electricity supply will be interrupted at different times, and consumers have been advised to complete essential work before the scheduled shutdowns.
Power Cut in Lalpur and Pathalkudua
High-tension (HT) wires will be installed on the 33 kV line in the Lalpur and Pathalkudua areas.
As a result, electricity supply on the 11 kV line from Pathalkudua Chowk through Gudiya Petrol Pump Chowk to Naya Toli will remain disrupted from 10 AM to 4 PM.
The Kokar division office and Bank Colony areas under the Lalpur feeder will face a power cut from 10:30 AM to 4:30 PM.
Power Cut in Morabadi and RK Mission Areas
A transformer serving Baniatoli Lower Basti, Bodhiya Road and nearby areas under the New Morabadi feeder will remain switched off from 10 AM to 4:30 PM.
In the Sattar Colony area near Alam Hospital, under the RK Mission feeder, electrical work will be carried out from 10 AM to 4 PM. Electricity supply will be affected during this period.
Power Cut in Chutia
Work to replace low-tension (LT) lines with AB cables will be carried out in Chutia.
The shutdown will affect areas around Power Road, the Chutia electricity substation, Chutia police station and Dhumsa Toli near the Chhath pond. Electricity supply will remain disrupted from 10:30 AM to 4:30 PM.
Power supply may also be affected on Dwarkapuri Road No. 2 due to electrical work.
Transformer and Maintenance Work in Kokar and Ormanjhi
Under the Kokar feeder, a transformer near Adarsh Vidyalaya on Tiril Road in the Chunabhatti area will remain switched off.
In the Ormanjhi electricity subdivision, tree branch trimming and maintenance work will be carried out on the 33 kV Rukka-PHED line. Electricity supply in the associated areas may be affected during the work.
Power Cut in Baridih and Mandro Tand
Under the RDSS scheme, stay fitting and box installation work will be carried out in the Baridih feeder area near Baridih Chowk and the Power House-Chai Bagan area.
A transformer will remain switched off from 10:30 AM to 4:30 PM.
Similar work will be undertaken in the Mandro Tand area under the Kucchu feeder. Electricity supply will be disrupted from 11 AM to 4 PM.
Power Cut in Ashok Nagar
Tree branch trimming will be carried out in the Ashok Nagar electricity subdivision in two phases.
- 9 AM to 10 AM: Alkapuri, New Pundag, Bhagatkocha, Dibdih and nearby areas.
- 11 AM to 12 noon: Mahavir Nagar Phase 1, SP Colony and surrounding localities.
