Poco, an independent brand of Xiaomi, has launched its latest smartphone, the Poco F6, in India. It is the first smartphone in the country to be equipped with the new 3rd generation Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s processor. Here’s everything you need to know about the Poco F6.
Poco F6: Price, Availability in India
The Poco F6 is priced at Rs 29,999 for the base 8GB + 256GB storage option. The 12GB + 256GB and 12GB + 512GB storage options are priced at Rs 31,999 and Rs 33,999 respectively.
The Poco F6 will go on sale in India on May 29 at 12pm via Flipkart. During its first sale on May 29, the Poco F6 will be available at a special price starting at Rs 25,999. The Poco F6 features a 6.67-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with a maximum brightness of 2400 nits (peak brightness). The display has a refresh rate of 120 Hz, a touch sampling rate of 240 Hz and PWM dimming of 2160 Hz. In addition, the display supports HDR10+ and Dolby Vision. There is also Corning Gorilla Glass Victus protection at the top of the screen.
Poco F6 has dual stereo speakers that support Dolby Atmos sound. Poco F6 is IP64 dust and splash proof. This phone also supports NFC.
This smartphone uses Qualcomm’s 3rd generation Snapdragon 8s chipset. The chipset has the same architecture as Qualcomm’s flagship Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, is based on TSMC’s 4nm process node, and includes the same ISP and on-device AI support. 3rd Gen Snapdragon 8S features an Adreno 735 GPU. The smartphone has up to 12 LPDDR5X RAM and up to 512 GB UFS 4.0 storage.
The Poco F4 runs HyperOS based on Android 14 out of the box, with the company promising three years of software updates and four years of security updates.
This smartphone is equipped with a 5500mAh battery. The F6 supports 90W fast charging, but the company includes a 120W charger in the box. The smartphone also features a very large 4800mm² IceLoop cooling system that promises three times better performance than VC cooling.
The Poco F6 has a dual camera setup on the back consisting of a 50-megapixel 1/1.95-inch Sony IMX882 sensor with f/1.59 wide-angle lens and OIS. The other camera is an 8-megapixel Sony IMX355 paired with an ultra-wide-angle lens. There is a 20-megapixel camera on the front of this smartphone for selfies.
Poco has added AI features like Magic Erase to remove objects from photos and Bokeh AI to add bokeh effects from your gallery. The smartphone also features AON, which responds to gestures in real time, e.g. B. moving to the next screen or answering a phone call.
