Jaipur, February 11, 2026 (Udaipur Kiran): Acting on the directions of the ACB headquarters, the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB), Jodhpur Rural unit, on Tuesday caught Patwari Rohit Kumar red-handed while accepting a ₹4,000 bribe. The accused is posted at Patwar Circle Kharia Mithapur, Tehsil Bilada, Jodhpur district.

According to the ACB, a complaint was received alleging that Rohit Kumar had been demanding ₹5,000 from the complainant for carrying out a name correction in the land record in favour of the complainant’s grandmother. During verification, the demand for the bribe was confirmed. Following the complainant’s request to reduce the amount, the accused agreed to accept ₹4,000.
Under the supervision of Bhuvan Bhushan Yadav, Deputy Inspector General of Police, ACB Jodhpur, and led by Paras Soni, Additional Superintendent of Police, ACB Jodhpur Rural, a trap was laid. The patwari was caught red-handed while accepting the bribe amount.
Further interrogation and legal proceedings are underway under the supervision of Rajesh Singh, Director General, Anti-Corruption Bureau, Rajasthan. A case has been registered under the provisions of the Prevention of Corruption Act, and investigation is in progress.
