Udaipur – Pacific Academy of Higher Education and Research University, Udaipur, will organise Anti-Ragging Week from August 12 to 18, 2025.

Anti-Ragging Week

The inaugural ceremony will feature Udaipur City Additional SP Umesh Ojha as the chief guest, with Paher Group President B.P. Sharma, Registrar Sharad Kothari, and University President Professor Hemant Kothari as special guests, who will guide the proceedings. Under the direction of Professor Hemant Kothari, the week aims to raise awareness among students about ragging and promote a safe and harmonious environment in educational institutions.

Professor Kothari said the week will include a variety of activities such as a poster competition, essay writing, video presentations, and an oath-taking ceremony, all designed to be creative and motivational. He added that such initiatives help remove fear of ragging among new students, enabling them to begin their studies comfortably. Since its inception, Pacific University has prohibited ragging, and events like this help curb such incidents in other colleges as well by spreading awareness.

Programme coordinator and Principal of Pacific College of Law, Dr. Pushpa Mehdo, said all university departments have been instructed to actively participate in the events. The aim is to foster a sense of unity, cooperation, and discipline among students. Information about laws and regulations related to ragging will be shared during and after the week. Professor Kothari also reviewed preparations to ensure the successful organisation of Anti-Ragging Week.
