OnePlus Ace 5 Pro Tipped to Come With 1.5K Display, Glass-Ceramic Body

The OnePlus Ace 5 series consists of two models, Ace 5 and Ace 5 Pro, and is expected to launch in China later this year. Claims from an informed source on social media suggest that the latter will have features like a 1.5K resolution display. Additionally, the device, touted as a mid-range to high-end model, is believed to undergo a design overhaul and may feature a glass-ceramic body.

In a post on Chinese social media platform Weibo, Digital Advisor Chat Station (translated from Chinese) shared details about the upcoming phone called OnePlus Ace 5 Pro. The smartphone is reportedly powered by a chipset with model number SM8750. This is a nod to the upcoming 4th generation Snapdragon 8 chipset, which is expected to be announced at the Snapdragon 2024 Summit in October.

Additionally, the device is also said to feature a 1.5K display, which is said to be included in the Realme GT 7 Pro. Previous leaks suggest that the display may look flat, albeit with micro-curved edges.

According to experts, the model called OnePlus Ace 5 Pro will also have a slightly different design compared to its predecessor. It can have a metal rectangular center frame and a glass ceramic body with a diagonal between the two materials.

OnePlus Ace 5 Specifications (Expected)

According to reports, the standard OnePlus Ace 5 could come with a 6.78-inch 1.5K LTPO display. Visually, it is likely to be equipped with a triple rear camera with a 50-megapixel main sensor. The phone is believed to be powered by a 6,200mAh dual-cell battery with 100W wired fast charging support. Details are unclear, but it could include an alarm slider, a design element that has become synonymous with OnePlus smartphones.

Both the OnePlus Ace 5 and Ace 5 Pro are expected to launch by the end of the year, possibly in December.
