Nothing Phone 2a was launched in India on March 5 and released in the country on March 12. This phone is available in three configurations of RAM and internal storage and two color options. The device is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Dimension chipset and is powered by a 5,000mAh battery with support for fast wired charging. The phone runs NothingOS 2.5 based on Android 14 out of the box. The newly launched mid-range smartphone has started its operating system upgrade with several improvements.
NothingOS 2.5.3 update is rolling out to Nothing Phone 2a users. The company has listed all the changes made by this update in a forum post. One of the key improvements in this release is the phone’s camera experience. The phone now supports Ultra HDR functionality and XDR display effects powered by Google Photos.
Also not mentioned is that the NothingOS 2.5.3 Nothing Phone 2a update introduces a shortcut widget for the camera app. With this update, the camera watermark now displays the focal length of the image. It is also claimed to improve HDR photo raw effects, color saturation, selfie camera sharpness and EIS/OIS effects.
This update also adds a new recorder widget to Nothing Phone 2a. It claims that there are also fixes for the fingerprint unlock feature in addition to the more general bug fixes. It is also said to have improved the overall performance of the device, including the touchscreen experience, memory usage strategy, vibration effects, and charging adapter compatibility.
