Bhopal & Jabalpur May Witness Strong Winds Up to 50 km/h; Temperature Drops Across State
Bhopal, April 2 – Weather conditions in Madhya Pradesh have shifted dramatically, with cloud cover, scattered showers, and thunderstorms affecting several parts of the state. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a rain and storm alert for more than 24 districts today, including hailstorm warnings for some southern and central regions.
According to IMD, the weather change is due to an active cyclonic circulation and trough system, which has strengthened over the state. As a result, rain, gusty winds, thunder, and hail are likely to impact many districts today and over the next 48 hours.

Orange Alert Issued for Hail-Prone Regions
Today, Khandwa, Burhanpur, Harda, Narmadapuram, Betul, Narsinghpur, Chhindwara, and Pandhurna are under an Orange Alert, with possibilities of hailstorms.
Meanwhile, Bhopal, Jabalpur, Singrauli, Rewa, Satna, Katni, Dindori, Umaria, Seoni, Mandla, Panna, Damoh, Sagar, Raisen, Sehore, Barwani, and Khargone are expected to experience gusty winds (40–50 km/h), light rainfall, and thunderstorms throughout the day.
