MOU Signed between GITS and Siemens India for student Training

Udaipur : Geetanjali Institute of Technical Studies and Siemens India singed the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to provide trainings for the students at GITS campus, Dabok, Udaipur on 6th September 2018. This Ceremony was Organized at CSE Seminar Hall, GITS Campus, Udaipur. The idea of collaboration was mooted after meetings between staff members of both organisations. They saw value in enhancing authentic training for students who will form the future workforce.

On this Occasion, Dr. Vikas Mishra, Director GITS conveyed that Siemens India is a technology powerhouse that has stood for engineering excellence, innovation, quality and reliability. The company focuses on the areas of electrification, automation and digitalization. It is one of the leading producers of energy-efficient, resource-saving technologies; combined cycle turbines for power generation; and power transmission solutions. Siemens is a pioneer in infrastructure solutions and automation and software solutions for industry. The company is also a leading supplier of medical imaging equipment – such as computed tomography and magnetic resonance imaging systems – and a leader in laboratory diagnostics as well as clinical IT. Siemens India had around 16,000 employees (Number of employees is 16,000 including all group companies of Siemens in India). Siemens India is supporting skill development through Corporate Citizenship initiatives such as ITI upgradation, faculty development and Technical Skills Development Centre. Siemens has partnered with industrial bodies such as Automation Industry Association, Indian Machine Tool Manufacturers Association and CII to impart technical education.

Dr. PC Bapna (HOD Electrical Engineering) conveyed that under this Technical Skill Development Program, Siemens India is going to give Trainings to the Students of Geetanjali Institute of Technical Studies. In this Training Two Trainers Mr. Gopal Krishnan (Engineer) and Mr. Rohit Thakur (Engineer) will give “Hands-on Practice on High Tension Machines” to Electrical Engineering students. Mr. Gopal Krishnan (Engineer, Siemens India) and Mr. Rohit Thakur (Engineer, Siemens India) Mr. B L Jangir – GITS Finance Controller, HODs and Faculty member of GITS were present.
