The company has officially confirmed that the Motorola Edge 50 Ultra will be launching in India soon. This smartphone is expected to be launched as the top model of the flagship series, which has emerged from the recently launched Edge 50 Pro and Edge 50 Fusion models. Ahead of the official launch, the phone’s key specifications were also leaked via Flipkart’s microsite, confirming that it has artificial intelligence (AI) features.
Motorola Edge 50 Ultra India release date, key specifications
In a post on X (formerly Twitter), Motorola India announced that its next smartphone will be launched in the country on June 18. Meanwhile, a microsite has also been created on Flipkart for the launch of the Motorola Edge 50 Ultra in India.
According to the microsite, the smartphone will feature a 6.7-inch POLED display with 1.5K resolution and 144Hz refresh rate. The screen is said to have a maximum brightness of 2500 nits and 100 percent coverage of the DCI-P3 color space.
Motorola says the Edge 50 Ultra will feature an under-display fingerprint scanner and Gorilla Glass Victus protection. IP68 dust and water resistance is also confirmed.
The phone is confirmed to run on the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset and utilize Moto Artificial Intelligence, the company’s suite of artificial intelligence (AI) features, including Magic Canvas, which allows users to generate artificial images based on text queries can.
The Motorola Edge 50 Ultra will come with 12GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage, compared to 16GB of RAM in the global version. Motorola says it offers a three-year warranty on operating system upgrades and up to four years on security updates.
This phone supports wired fast charging and 50W to 125W. In addition, the smartphone offers 10W wireless power distribution, which allows users to charge other devices such as smart watches and TWS headphones.
Motorola says the Edge 50 Ultra has a smart feature that allows users to stream apps to their PC, copy/paste text and images to share data between devices, and also offers the ability to use your phone as a webcam connection feature to use.
It is confirmed to have a triple rear camera setup with a 50MP primary camera with OIS, a 50MP ultra-wide camera and a 64MP telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom. A 50-megapixel selfie camera will be installed on the front of the phone. The camera system has AI features such as AI Adaptive Image Stabilization and 100x AI Super Zoom.
Motorola Edge 50 Ultra Price in India
Motorola has not officially announced the price of the Edge 50 Ultra in India. Notably, the global version costs EUR 999 (around Rs. 89,000). Three colors have been confirmed: Pantone Peach Fuzz, Forest Gray (with silicone vegetable leather back panel) and wood veneer.
