Moto G64 5G India Launch Set for April 16; Key Specifications, Design, Colour Options Revealed

Moto G64 5G coming to India soon. The company announced the release date of the device and revealed its design and color options. Several key features of the upcoming model have also been confirmed, including processor, battery, camera, RAM and storage configuration. Powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 7020 SoC and a 6,000mAh battery with support for 33W wired fast charging, the phone is said to be the successor to the Moto G54 5G announced in September 2023.

In a post on X (formerly Twitter), Motorola India announced that the Moto G64 5G will launch in India on April 16 at 12:00 IST. It has also been confirmed to be sold on Flipkart, Motorola India website and select retail stores across the country. Flipkart’s microsite for the smartphone is now live and reveals details about the upcoming model including design, color options, RAM and storage configuration and more.

The Moto G64 5G is available in blue, green and purple. This model has the same design as its predecessor, the Moto G54 5G. In the upper left corner of the back there is a rectangular camera module that houses two camera sensors in addition to an LED flash. There is a volume rocker and a power button on the right edge of the phone.

It is confirmed to support the MediaTek Dimensity 7025 SoC with up to 12GB of RAM and up to 256GB of internal storage. The Moto G64 5G is available in two configurations: 8GB + 128GB and 12GB + 256GB. What is noteworthy is that the RAM can be virtually increased from 12 GB to 24 GB. This phone will come with Android 14 MyUX operating system. The phone features a 6.5-inch Full HD+ display with a 240Hz touch sampling rate and Corning Gorilla Glass protection.

As for optics, the Moto G64 5G has a 50-megapixel primary rear sensor with support for optical image stabilization (OIS) and an 8-megapixel macro camera. The front camera has a 16-megapixel sensor and is housed in a punch-hole slot at the top center of the screen.

The Moto G64 5G is powered by a 6,000mAh battery that supports fast 33W wired charging. The phone also has the IP52 standard for dust and splash protection. Its thickness is 8.89 mm and its weight is confirmed at 192 grams.
