Tel Aviv, February 25: Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in Tel Aviv on Wednesday for a two-day state visit to Israel. During his trip, both nations are set to establish new goals for their strategic partnership and advance their shared vision for a prosperous future.
This marks Modi’s first visit to Israel since 2017. In a special gesture, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his wife, Sara Netanyahu, warmly welcomed Modi at Ben Gurion Airport, where the two leaders embraced.
Regarding his visit, Modi posted on X, stating, “I have arrived in Israel. I received a tremendous welcome at the airport from Prime Minister Netanyahu and his wife, Sara Netanyahu. I feel honored by this reception. I look forward to bilateral discussions and positive outcomes that will strengthen the friendship between India and Israel.”
The Indian Ministry of External Affairs confirmed that Modi has landed in Israel, marking his second visit to the country in nine years.
In a heartfelt reception, Modi was given a special guard of honor by Netanyahu and his wife at the airport.
During his visit, Modi is scheduled to engage in discussions with Netanyahu and Israeli President Isaac Herzog, address the Israeli parliament, and participate in several other programs.
Israel is a key partner for India in strategic and technological sectors, including deep cooperation in science and technology, innovation, defense, and agriculture. This relationship is built on mutual trust, shared priorities, and an increasing convergence in future technologies.
