Udaipur, March 27 (Udaipur Kiran) — A mechanic working with Dilip Buildcon Company died after a pillar fell on his head following an accident involving a stationary dumper in the Devas dam project area.

According to ASI Bharat Singh, the deceased has been identified as Abid (40), son of Mobbat Hashim, a resident of Etawah, Uttar Pradesh, currently living in Iswal. He was employed as a mechanic with Dilip Buildcon Company, which is executing work on the third and fourth phases of the Devas dam project.
The incident occurred on Wednesday evening when Abid was sitting on a wall at a thresher plant in Iswal. During this time, a dumper parked on a slope rolled down and collided with an electric pole. The impact caused the pole to fall onto the wall, striking Abid on the head.
He sustained severe head injuries and was rushed to a private hospital, where he died during treatment.
The body was later brought to MB Hospital. Police have registered a case based on a report filed by his son Sameer. After post-mortem, the body was handed over to the family.
