Powertrain Options: Petrol, CNG, and Strong Hybrid

The Maruti Suzuki Victoris will be available with three powertrain options: petrol, CNG, and a strong hybrid. Engineers have updated the vehicle’s platform to efficiently position the CNG tanks under the body, resulting in increased boot space. The strong hybrid system, borrowed from the Grand Vitara, features a lithium-ion battery that is now being largely assembled locally. The Victoris also gets the tried-and-tested 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine, while the strong hybrid option is compatible with Suzuki’s AllGrip Select all-wheel-drive (AWD) system, available on the higher ZXi+ and ZXi+(O) variants.

Modern Design and Advanced Features

The Victoris boasts a sporty design with an upright hood and sleek LED headlamps, highlighted by a chrome strip across the nose. Buyers can choose between two alloy wheel designs and ten colour options, including two new shades: Eternal Blue and Mystic Green. The rear is styled with full-width LED taillamps and a smart, powered tailgate with gesture control, while the taillights’ 3D design draws inspiration from the Maruti Suzuki Swift.

Inside, the SUV offers two interior trim options based on the chosen variant. The dashboard has a layered design and features ambient lighting with 64 colour choices. Key features include a 10.25-inch digital driver’s display, a touchscreen infotainment system with Alexa integration, and over 35 pre-installed apps. The infotainment unit supports over-the-air (OTA) updates and Suzuki Connect, offering more than 60 connected features. Comfort highlights include a dual-pane sunroof, PM 2.5 air filter, and an 8-speaker surround sound system with Dolby Atmos. The driver’s seat is 8-way powered, ventilated, and adds to the premium experience.

Safety: 5-Star Bharat NCAP Rating and Level-2 ADAS

Safety remains a top priority, as the Victoris has secured a 5-star rating in Bharat NCAP crash tests. Standard safety equipment includes six airbags, Electronic Stability Control (ESC), pedestrian protection, and seat belt reminders. The SUV also features a heads-up display, 360-degree camera, and Level-2 ADAS, specifically tuned for Indian driving conditions.

With its advanced features, modern design, and versatile powertrain options, the Maruti Suzuki Victoris is set to strengthen Maruti Suzuki’s presence in the compact SUV segment, both in India and global markets.
