Manish Tewari meets Railway Minister, raises issues of his constituency

Mohali, April 6 : Member of Parliament from Sri Anandpur Sahib and former on minister Manish Tewari met Railway Minister Ashwani Vaishnav and raised Railway-related issues regarding his Lok Sabha constituency with him. During the meeting, he demanded compensation to the land owners of village Saneana in Mohali district for the land acquired for laying a new rail line from Chandigarh to Ludhiana. At the same time, other issues, including improvement of Ru agar railway station, were also raised. Tewari also demanded to expedite the construction of Nangal Railway over bridge. He further urged for speeding up the construction of railway under bridge at Morinda, besides improving other railway under bridges in the area. The Congress leader demanded rail link for Balachaur sub-division of Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar, besides from Rahon to Ru agar and from Rahon to Samrala, which has been re-surveyed. He expressed displeasure over the discontinuation of stoppage of Jan Shatabadi train from his Lok Sabha constituency. The Congress leader requested the Railway Minister not to close the railway crossing number C-62 from village Basiala and Bakapur situated on the railway line connecting Nawanshahr-Jaijon. XC RJ
