Maharashtra Government Transfers 12 IAS Officers Ahead of Monsoon Session

Mumbai, June 17: The Maharashtra government has transferred 12 IAS officers in preparation for the upcoming monsoon session of the state assembly, which begins on June 22. Among those transferred are several senior IAS officials.

Vijay Singhal, a 1997 batch IAS officer, has been appointed as the Special Officer for the Dharavi Redevelopment Project in Mumbai, previously serving as the Vice Chairman and Managing Director of the City and Industrial Development Corporation.

Prajakta Verma, a 2001 batch IAS officer, has been appointed as the Additional Municipal Commissioner of the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation.

P. Velerasu, a 2002 batch IAS officer, has been moved from the Chief Executive Officer of the Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation to the Secretary (Forests) in the Revenue and Forest Department.

Ashwini Joshi, a 2006 batch IAS officer, has been appointed as the Additional Metropolitan Commissioner of the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority, having previously served as the Additional Municipal Commissioner of BMC.

Deependra Singh Kushwaha, also from the 2006 batch, has been appointed as the Chief Executive Officer of the Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation.

Ashwin Mudgal, a 2007 batch IAS officer, has been designated as the Vice Chairman and Managing Director of CIDCO, Mumbai.

Kadambari Balkawade, a 2010 batch IAS officer, has been transferred to the position of Development Commissioner (Industries) in the Directorate of Industries.

Sanjay Katkar, a 2014 batch IAS officer, has been appointed as the Commissioner (Family Welfare) and Director of the National Health Mission.

Zenith Chandra Donthula, a 2022 batch IAS officer, has been appointed as the Chief Executive Officer of the District Council in Gondia.

Anay Navandar, also from the 2022 batch, has been designated as the Chief Executive Officer of the District Council in Akola.

B. Saravanan, a 2023 batch IAS officer, has been transferred to the position of Project Officer for ITDP in Kinwat.

Lagima Tiwari, another 2023 batch IAS officer, has been appointed as the Project Officer for ITDP in Taloda.
