Gandhinagar, August 13: Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav visited Gujarat on Wednesday to attract investments. During his trip, he met with Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel at his residence in Gandhinagar.
Yadav participated in the ‘Mega Investment Dialogue’ and a roadshow held in Ahmedabad before his courtesy meeting with Patel. The meeting was also attended by Gujarat’s Deputy Chief Minister Harsh Sanghvi and Minister of State for Tribal Development Jairam Gamet.
This meeting comes at a time when the Madhya Pradesh government is working to strengthen investment relations with industrial groups in Gujarat. During the investment dialogue in Ahmedabad, CM Yadav presented the investment opportunities available in Madhya Pradesh to entrepreneurs and invited them to participate in the proposed Global Investors Summit-2027.
The event focused on sectors such as textiles, energy, infrastructure, manufacturing, and industrial expansion. According to the state government, Madhya Pradesh received investment proposals worth ₹8,635 crores during the dialogue in Ahmedabad, which could create 5,785 job opportunities. These proposals are linked to various sectors, including cement, packaging, food processing, pharmaceuticals, textiles, engineering, chemicals, aerospace, and defense.
Under the investment promotion program, Mohan Yadav also held over 15 one-on-one meetings with representatives of major industrial groups. These discussions revolved around investment proposals, industrial expansion, and sector-specific investment opportunities available in Madhya Pradesh.
The Chief Minister emphasized the potential for increasing economic cooperation between the two states while inviting Gujarat’s industrial sector to participate in the Global Investors Summit-2027. He described Madhya Pradesh and Gujarat as “twin brothers,” highlighting Gujarat’s industrial and business experience and Madhya Pradesh’s ample land, water resources, and geographical advantage in the center of the country. These characteristics complement each other.
