Bhopal, March 15 – The Madhya Pradesh government has officially started wheat procurement at the Minimum Support Price (MSP) from March 15, 2025. Extensive preparations have been made across all districts, ensuring a smooth and efficient procurement process for farmers.
To facilitate farmers, procurement centers have been equipped with essential amenities, including seating arrangements, shade tents, drinking water, and free slot booking services. Additionally, help desks have been set up at procurement centers to assist farmers in booking their slots and ensuring a hassle-free selling process.
MSP Set at ₹2425 per Quintal with Additional ₹175 Bonus
State Food Minister Govind Singh Rajput announced that under the leadership of Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, the government has fixed the MSP for wheat at ₹2425 per quintal for the Rabi Marketing Season 2025-26.
In a significant move to support farmers, the government has decided to provide an additional ₹175 per quintal as a bonus, effectively raising the total procurement price to ₹2600 per quintal.

This initiative aims to enhance farmers’ incomes and ensure they receive fair compensation for their produce.
Madhya Pradesh Targets 80 Lakh Metric Tons of Wheat Procurement
With an estimated wheat procurement target of 80 lakh metric tons, the Madhya Pradesh government anticipates:
- Total MSP payout of approximately ₹19,400 crore
- Bonus payment of ₹1,400 crore to farmers
This large-scale procurement initiative underscores the state’s commitment to agricultural growth and farmer welfare, ensuring timely payments and efficient procurement operations.
Efficient Payment & Logistics System for Farmers
To ensure seamless and quick payments, the government has:
