L&T rises as its construction arm secures contract for Buildings & Factories business

Larsen & Toubro is currently trading at Rs. 3595.80, up by 22.00 points or 0.62% from its previous closing of Rs. 3573.80 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 3569.90 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 3614.00 and Rs. 3550.65 respectively. So far 36501 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group ‘A’ stock of face value Rs. 2 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 3,614.00 on 17-Jan-2024 and a 52 week low of Rs. 2073.85 on 31-Jan-2023.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 3614.00 and Rs. 3494.85 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 494562.48 crore.

The Institutions holding in the company stood at 63.06%, while Non-Institutions held 36.94% in the company.

Larsen & Toubro’s (L&T) construction arm — L&T construction has secured orders in India & Oman for its Buildings & Factories (B&F) Business. The Residential Business of B&F has secured a significant repeat order from Government Planning & Development Authority, Maharashtra to construct EWS Housing, 14 towers and related infrastructure works in Navi Mumbai.

The scope of works includes Design & Construction of civil structures in all aspects including Finishes, MEP, and related external development works. The Project is to be executed within 42 months.

Further the business through the L&T Oman entity has been awarded the contract for a Mixed-Use Development project in Muscat by a reputed private client. This contract involves the construction of a 3-star hotel featuring 80-key hotel rooms, 101 serviced apartments, and a 23-key residential apartment & office block with a common basement, associated service buildings, external works, services, as well as hard and soft landscaping.
