Law students enact satire on hollowness of education system

Udaipur : The students of University’s College of Law performed a street play ‘Padhai ki Gadhai’ at the college campus on monday. The play revolved around the problems faced by students and acutely pointed out the need for a positive student-teacher relationship. ‘ Padhai ki Gadhai’ is basically a satire on our educational system and also shows what our educational system lacks.

We tried to show that when the teachers are too strict, students are not able to communicate well that in turns effect their academic performance” Jatin Bharwani, the director and writer of the play said. ” Our education system is of that 18th century; obsolete and unfit for the present time. There is an urgent need to adopt a new pattern and improvised version of education system which presently emphasizes more on examination rather than real learning or acquiring knowledge” Ankit Joshi, a participant said.

Youth is the change bringer and the role of teacher is very important in shaping the views and attitude of the youth, hence a healthy, positive and interactive relationshiop between them is essential, said Kumud Dwivedi. Neeti Vaid, Dharmveer Singh Panwar, Mohan Shivtare, Kalpana Priyadarshi, Indra Singh Sisodiya, Praveen Kumar Choudhary, Chin Vardhaman, Ishita kumawat were among others who played role in the street play that earned much applause from the audience.
