Kawasaki Launches New Adventure Bikes with 649cc Engine

Mumbai, October 29: Kawasaki has unveiled its latest adventure bikes, the KLE650 ABS and KLE650 SE ABS, featuring a powerful 649cc liquid-cooled parallel-twin engine. These bikes are designed for riders who enjoy long highway journeys and light off-roading. The KLE650 boasts a rally-style design, a 21-inch front wheel, and long-travel suspension, offering enhanced off-road capabilities compared to the Kawasaki Versys 650.
The KLE650’s engine delivers 70 hp at 8600 rpm and 64 Nm of torque at 7500 rpm, making it more powerful than its competitors, including the Versys 650. The bike features a high-tensile steel trellis frame, a 43mm inverted fork with 210mm travel in the front, and a Uni-Trak suspension at the rear with 195mm travel. For braking, it is equipped with dual 300mm discs at the front and a 230mm disc at the rear.
Additional features include two-mode traction control, cruise control, and an optional bi-directional quick shifter in the SE variant. The bikes come with a 6-speed gearbox and an assist and slipper clutch. The KLE650 ABS is priced at approximately $8,799 (around ₹8.37 lakh) in the US, while the KLE650 SE ABS starts at $9,999 (around ₹9.51 lakh). The launch date for India has yet to be officially announced.
