Jodhpur Railway Division will temporarily add extra coaches to 10 pairs of trains from January 1 to 31, 2026, to ease passenger waitlist pressure during the New Year and festival season. This move aims to provide relief to travelers facing increased demand.
Divisional Railway Manager Anurag Tripathi informed that the Hanumangarh-Dadar-Hanumangarh Ranikpur Express (train numbers 14707/14708) will have one additional AC three-tier coach.
The Jaipur-Jodhpur-Jaipur Intercity Superfast (train numbers 22977/22978) will get one first cum second AC coach and one AC three-tier coach added temporarily.
The Jodhpur-Indore-Jodhpur Express (train numbers 14801/14802) will see an increase of one sleeper and three general coaches. Similarly, the Indore-Bhagat Ki Kothi-Indore Ranthambore Superfast (train numbers 12465/12466) will have one sleeper and three general coaches added.
Passengers of the Marudhar Express (train numbers 14854/14864/14866 and 14853/14863/14865) connecting Jodhpur and Varanasi City will benefit from the temporary addition of an AC three-tier coach, helping reduce waitlist numbers.
On the Dadar and Sabarmati routes, the Jodhpur-Dadar-Jodhpur Express (train numbers 14807/14808), Bhagat Ki Kothi-Dadar-Bhagat Ki Kothi Superfast (train numbers 20483/20484), Jodhpur-Sabarmati-Jodhpur Superfast (train numbers 20485/20486), and Sabarmati-Jaisalmer-Sabarmati Superfast (train numbers 20492/20491) will each receive one AC three-tier coach and two sleeper coaches temporarily.
Additionally, the Bhagat Ki Kothi-Tiruchirappalli-Bhagat Ki Kothi Humsafar Weekly Superfast (train numbers 20481/20482) will have one extra sleeper coach added for the same period.
This temporary increase in coaches is expected to provide significant relief to passengers holding waitlisted tickets across these key trains in the Jodhpur division.
