Jaipur, 15 November (Udaipur Kiran). Acting on instructions from the ACB headquarters, the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) Jhunjhunu unit on Saturday trapped and arrested Head Constable Santosh (No. 2549) of Buhana Police Station while accepting a bribe of ₹20,000.

Director General of Police, Anti-Corruption Bureau, Govind Gupta, said the ACB had received a complaint stating that a case of family dispute involving the complainant, his brother and uncle was under investigation by Head Constable Santosh. She allegedly demanded a bribe of ₹30,000 for removing the names of the complainant and his brother from the case and for not detaining the complainant’s brother.
During confidential verification of the complaint, the accused head constable had already taken ₹3,000 on 10 November 2025 and ₹7,000 on 14 November 2025. Following the confirmation of the demand, a trap was laid on 15 November. The accused accepted ₹20,000 from the complainant and kept the money in the right pocket of her sweater, from where it was recovered.
Further action is underway at the spot under the supervision of Rajesh Singh, Deputy Inspector General of Police, ACB Jaipur Range, and Shabbir Khan, Deputy Superintendent of Police, ACB Jhunjhunu.
Additional DGP ACB, Smita Srivastava, is supervising the questioning and overall proceedings. A case under the Prevention of Corruption Act will be registered and further investigation will continue.
