Ranchi, March 25, 2025: After a brief spell of relief due to recent rainfall, Jharkhand is bracing for a fresh wave of intense summer heat. According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), clear skies and rising temperatures are set to dominate the weather across most parts of the state in the coming days.

Temperatures Set to Rise by 4–5°C in Coming Days
Speaking on the current weather trends, Abhishek Anand, a senior scientist at IMD, confirmed on Tuesday that temperatures across various districts in Jharkhand may increase by 4–5°C over the next four to five days. With no active weather systems currently developing over the region, the atmosphere is expected to remain dry and clear.
This shift could mark the beginning of a harsh summer phase, causing discomfort to residents who had recently enjoyed pleasant conditions following intermittent showers.
Heat Begins to Build in Ranchi and Surrounding Areas
On Tuesday, Ranchi and its nearby regions experienced clear skies throughout the day. While the morning brought a slight chill, daytime temperatures climbed steadily, and residents began to feel the growing heat. As temperatures continue to rise in the days ahead, health officials advise people to stay hydrated and avoid direct exposure to the sun, especially during peak afternoon hours.
No Rain Relief in Sight
With no rain forecast for the foreseeable future, Jharkhand is likely to enter a prolonged dry and hot spell. The IMD has urged farmers and residents to stay updated with weather advisories and take necessary precautions during this transition into peak summer.
