Jha said that Chief Minister Nitish Kumar personally reviewed and finalised the names of candidates after detailed discussions. He added that selections were made keeping local factors and ground equations in mind. The first list will be released today, followed by the second phase list, which is expected to be announced by tomorrow.

On the first day of his campaign, Nitish Kumar is scheduled to address two major public meetings to seek support for NDA candidates.

Taking a dig at opposition parties, Sanjay Jha said that the NDA remains united and transparent in its approach. “Even if there were minor differences over seat numbers or adjustments, they were resolved immediately,” he said. Jha added that the NDA has already finalised its seat-sharing arrangement and candidates, whereas the opposition has yet to clarify how many seats they will contest or who their nominees will be.
