Ranchi, May 31 — The Jharkhand Academic Council (JAC) has officially declared the Class 12 results for Science and Commerce streams for the academic year 2024–25. The results were announced today at 12:30 PM during a press conference at the JAC auditorium in Ranchi, in the presence of Jharkhand’s School Education and Literacy Minister Shri Ramdas Soren.

Students can now check their marks on the official websites — jacresults.com and results.digilocker.gov.in.
Over 1.2 Lakh Students Receive Results
This year, approximately 98,634 students appeared for the Science stream and 22,066 students for Commerce. The pass percentage stood at 79.26% for Science and 91.2% for Commerce, reflecting a notable performance across both streams.

The Commerce stream recorded a significantly higher success rate, with more than 90% of students clearing the exams.
Exam and Evaluation Process
The theory exams were conducted from February 11 to March 3, 2025, followed by practical exams from March 4 to March 20. Each subject is evaluated out of 100 marks, with 80 for theory and 20 for practicals where applicable. To qualify, students must secure at least 33% marks in both theory and practical components.

What’s Next for Students?
Students must verify all details on their marksheets and report discrepancies to their schools. If dissatisfied with their marks, they can apply for revaluation through their schools at a fee of ₹200 per subject.
Those who fail in one or two subjects can appear for compartment exams expected to be held in June–July 2025. The results of these supplementary exams will likely be declared by August–September 2025.
JAC also provides grace marks of up to 5% in one subject or 3% in two subjects to help borderline candidates clear the exam.
The official toppers list for both streams will be released alongside the results on the official portals. Students are advised to download and retain their digital marksheets as official academic proof for future applications.
