IRCTC Announces Jyotirlinga with Dakshin Darshan Yatra from Rewa: Journey Begins August 21

The Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) has launched a spiritually enriching “02 Jyotirlinga with Dakshin Darshan Yatra” via the Bharat Gaurav Tourist Train, departing August 21, 2025, from Rewa. The 11-day journey offers travelers a chance to visit some of South India’s most revered religious and cultural destinations with all-inclusive facilities, including LTC eligibility.

Itinerary and Destinations

The pilgrimage covers two prominent JyotirlingasMallikarjuna (Srisailam) and Rameshwaram—as well as popular temples and cultural sites in South India. The full list of destinations includes:

  • Tirupati: Balaji Temple, Padmavati Temple

  • Rameshwaram: Ramanathaswamy Temple

  • Madurai: Meenakshi Temple

  • Kanyakumari: Vivekananda Rock Memorial, Gandhi Mandapam, Kanyakumari Temple & Sunset (self-guided)

  • Srisailam: Mallikarjuna Jyotirling

Boarding Points

The train will commence from Rewa, with additional boarding options at Satna, Maihar, Katni, Jabalpur, Narsinghpur, Itarsi, Betul, Nagpur, and Sevagram, ensuring easy access for travelers across Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra.

Note: Transport from Tirupati to Tirumala will be via non-AC vehicles, and all passengers will share accommodation at Srisailam due to infrastructure limitations.
