Kolkata, April 3 – In a commanding performance at Eden Gardens, Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) registered a massive 80-run victory over Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in the 15th match of IPL 2025, marking SRH’s biggest defeat in terms of runs in IPL history.

KKR Sets a Formidable Total
Opting to bat first after losing the toss, KKR posted a formidable 200/6 in their 20 overs. The innings was anchored by Venkatesh Iyer (60 off 29 balls) and Angkrish Raghuvanshi (50), who stitched key partnerships after early setbacks. Both Sunil Narine (7) and Quinton de Kock (1) fell cheaply, but Captain Ajinkya Rahane (38) and Raghuvanshi steadied the innings with an 81-run stand.
Venkatesh Iyer’s explosive knock, including 7 fours and 3 sixes, powered KKR into a dominant position. He was especially brutal in the 19th over, plundering 21 runs off Pat Cummins. Rinku Singh remained unbeaten on 32 from just 17 balls, adding 91 runs with Iyer for the fifth wicket. Andre Russell (1) was run out on the final ball of the innings.
