This will cause major inconvenience to thousands of passengers. The airline has admitted that they could not anticipate the crew shortage problem and made mistakes at the planning level.
India’s largest airline IndiGo has been facing problems due to crew shortage for the past three days. This has severely affected IndiGo’s operations and thousands of passengers are facing difficulties.
The severity of the situation can be gauged from the fact that on Thursday alone, over 550 flights were cancelled at more than 10 airports including Delhi-Mumbai. Apart from Delhi and Mumbai, IndiGo flights were cancelled from Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Chennai, Goa, Jaipur and Indore airports. Affected passengers created chaos at several places.
