New Delhi, June 11: Yashvardhan Singh Chauhan has been appointed as the captain of India’s men’s U-19 team for the upcoming tour of Sri Lanka. The Indian team will play three One Day Internationals (ODIs) and two multi-day matches starting next month.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced the squads for both the ODIs and multi-day matches, with Lakshya Raichandani serving as the vice-captain. In the ODI squad, Rajat Baghel and Anvay Dravid will take on wicketkeeping responsibilities, while the multi-day matches will see Manav Krishna and Aryan Sandesh Sakpal handling the wicketkeeping duties.
The white-ball segment of the tour will kick off on July 4 in Hambantota, where all three ODIs will be played. Following the limited-overs series, the Indian team will switch to red-ball cricket for two multi-day matches. The first multi-day match is scheduled to take place in Galle from July 13 to 16, while the final match will be held in Colombo from July 20 to 23.

Earlier, the women’s selection committee announced the Indian women’s U-19 team for the tour against the Sri Lankan women’s U-19 team, scheduled from June 20 to July 6, featuring three T20s and three ODIs. The T20 matches will be held in Chennai, while the ODIs will take place in Puducherry.
