Indian Railways Changes Timings of Prayagraj, Humsafar and Other Trains Ahead of Diwali
Prayagraj: Indian Railways has revised the timings of several major trains connected to Prayagraj ahead of Diwali. The changes will affect the Prayagraj–New Delhi Humsafar Express, Prayagraj Express, Rewa Express, Magadh Express and several other services. The terminal of the Prayagraj–New Delhi Humsafar Express will also shift from New Delhi to Anand Vihar Terminal from January 2027.
Humsafar Express Timings Revised
The Prayagraj–New Delhi Humsafar Express (12275) will reach New Delhi at 6:35 am from October 29, instead of its existing arrival time of 6:15 am.
The return service, New Delhi–Prayagraj Humsafar Express (12276), will depart from New Delhi at 11:05 pm from October 28, instead of 10:30 pm. Its arrival time at Prayagraj will also change from 6:20 am to 7:45 am.
From January 1, 2027, train 12275 will operate up to Anand Vihar Terminal and reach there at 6:25 am. In the return direction, train 12276 will depart from Anand Vihar Terminal at 11:15 pm from January 2 and reach Prayagraj at 7:45 am.
The Prayagraj–Anand Vihar Humsafar Express (22437) will reach Anand Vihar at 6:25 am from October 28, instead of 6:10 am. Its return service, Anand Vihar–Prayagraj Humsafar Express (22438), will depart at 11:15 pm from October 29.
From January 2027, the Humsafar service will operate from Anand Vihar Terminal instead of New Delhi, with services scheduled throughout the week.
Prayagraj Express and Rewa Express Timings
The Prayagraj Express (12417) will reach New Delhi at 7:15 am from October 28.
Its return service, New Delhi–Prayagraj Express (12418), will depart from New Delhi at 10:15 pm instead of the current 10:10 pm.
The Rewa Express (12428) will arrive at Prayagraj Junction at 6:05 am from October 28.
Magadh Express to Arrive at Prayagraj Junction in the Morning
The Magadh Express (20802) will arrive at Prayagraj Junction at 6:15 am from October 28 and depart at 6:20 am.
The departure time of the Udna–Danapur Express (20933) from Prayagraj Junction will change from 4:30 am to 4:25 am from December 22.
The New Delhi–Jaynagar Express (12562) will reach Prayagraj Junction at 5:25 am from December 23.
According to the report, timings of 35 trains, including the New Delhi Tejas, Rajdhani and Unchahar Express, have been revised.
Mumbai Central–Kanpur Special Train Extended Until November
In view of increased passenger demand during Karwa Chauth, Diwali and Chhath, Railways has extended the operation of the Mumbai Central–Kanpur Anwarganj Special train through November.
Five additional trips in each direction have been scheduled after October 25, taking the total to 10 additional trips. The train will continue to operate via Mathura Junction and Mathura Cantt, with its existing route, timings, halts and coach composition unchanged.
The Mumbai Central–Kanpur Anwarganj Special will run on November 1, 8, 15, 22 and 29. The return service from Kanpur Anwarganj to Mumbai Central will operate on November 2, 9, 16, 23 and 30.
The additional services are expected to provide more travel options for passengers travelling between Mumbai and Kanpur during the festive season.
