Indian Hotels Company trades marginally higher on signing fourth ginger hotel in Kochi

The Indian Hotels Company is currently trading at Rs. 320.05, up by 0.35 points or 0.11% from its previous closing of Rs. 319.70 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 319.65 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 320.45 and Rs. 317.95 respectively. So far 8442 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group ‘A’ stock of face value Rs. 1 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 348.70 on 06-Oct-2022 and a 52 week low of Rs. 180.75 on 07-Mar-2022.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 322.15 and Rs. 311.30 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 45410.18 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 38.19%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 45.68% and 16.13% respectively.

Indian Hotels Company (IHCL) has signed fourth hotel under the Ginger brand in Kochi, Kerala. With this addition IHCL will now have six hotels across its brands in the city. The hotel is a fully fitted lease. The 73-key hotel is strategically located in the central business district at MG Road. It is at a drivable distance from Cochin Airport as well as important tourist destinations. The hotel will house an all-day diner – Qmin, offering a variety of global and local favourites, a banquet hall, swimming pool and a fitness centre.

Kochi is the most important commercial and industrial city in the state of Kerala. Called ‘Queen of the Arabian Sea’, it is also a major tourist destination. With the addition of this hotel, IHCL will have 16 hotels across Taj, SeleQtions, Vivanta and Ginger brands across Kerala including four under development.
