He was reported to be suffering from stage four liver cancer and had been in critical condition for several days.
On February 21, his health deteriorated significantly, leading to his admission at Yatharth Hospital in Greater Noida, where he was placed on ventilator support. According to hospital sources, he took his last breath around 4:36 AM on Friday. The news of his passing sent shockwaves through the family, with official confirmation of his death coming around 5 AM. Following this, family members departed with his mortal remains for their home.
Upon learning about his father’s declining health, Rinku Singh left the Indian team and returned home immediately from Chennai, where he was participating in practice sessions.
