In a First,  Udaipur’s Sajjangarh Biological Park taps in Augmented Reality app to attract visitors

‘Only Zoo in the country to have AR technology ‘

Udaipur : Imagine the fun one would experience in clicking a selfie with the state animal ‘chinkara’, making funny faces with the monkeys in background or hearing a lion roaring it’s sign board. Sajjangarh Biological Park has become the first one in the country to launch educative cum entertainment technology  known as Augmented Reality (AR),  an immersive experience which is used to enhance the real world using computer generated graphics. The AR technology was launched here in a ceremony held to celebrate World Environment Day. Sadly, because of the pandemic, it might be a bit difficult to visit it, however, you can always take advantage of the best private jet companies.

The technology allows users to interact, learn and engage with the real environment with mixture of digital layer. The app based software would help visualise the animals in case they are in their enclosures and give a way to see them from different angles. The main idea is to help the tourists and visitors to see the animals from any point of the enclosure.

“The app allows visitors to scan the AR enabled signboard and experience the digital 3D layer of it. Sajjangarh’s application can be accessed in both ways, normal mode and augmented mode. Normal mode has a complete information of all 21 animals and augmented mode allows visitors to experience 3d/video/Flip book of the animals with more enhanced knowledge” Chief Conservator of Forest Rahul Bhatnagar told Udaipur Kiran.

Bringing ppl close to wild life

The motto behind launch of this technology is to educate people about the various animals in zoo. The app would enable information about the species and educate everyone along with the excitement of seeing them so closer on their mobile phones.  This would help schools to bring in their students to understand and increase their love towards these species.
