HP gaming laptops sales double in India, business PCs remain flat

HP’s gaming PC shipments in India more than doubled in the last fiscal year. The company reportedly shipped 285,000,000 gaming PCs in the two years ended March 31, 2023. In comparison, the company reported sales of 131 million gaming PCs in fiscal 2021, which more than doubled to 282 million units in fiscal 2022.

However, industry insiders claim that the company’s performance remained almost the same from 2022 to 2023. It is also worth noting that HP India has not revealed any actual numbers, but the company has stated that gaming PC sales will continue to grow in 2022-2023. this year

Read what the company said about gaming PC sales

The company recently launched the HP Omen Transcend 14 series for gaming and content creation. This new PC series starts at Rs 174,999 and features an Nvidia GPU (Graphics Processing Unit), an Intel Core Ultra processor and a Neural Processing Unit (NPU).

While Vineet Gehani, Senior Director of Consumer Sales at HP India, talked about the launch of the new laptop series, he also touched on the overall sales of gaming PCs.

In a statement to news agency PTI, Jahani said, “Even for HP in our overall portfolio, gaming share has suddenly increased in the last few years. This year it will also increase this year. When it comes to PC penetration, Jahani noted that games’ share of the overall industry is also increasing.

He added: “The small gamer is gaining speed through smaller formats such as mobile phones and consoles.”

Jaihani also said that gaming adoption has accelerated and the company is launching better devices every year as gaming has now become a full-time profession.
