Hotel Leela Venture zooms on completing sale of its business to Brookfield

Hotel Leela Venture is currently trading at Rs. 8.85, up by 1.19 points or 15.54% from its previous closing of Rs. 7.66 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 8.77 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 9.19 and Rs. 8.50 respectively. So far 41841 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group ‘B’ stock of face value Rs. 2 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 18.78 on 30-Nov-2018 and a 52 week low of Rs. 5.94 on 23-Aug-2019.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 9.19 and Rs. 6.33 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 483.00 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 47.27%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 2.46% and 50.27% respectively.

Hotel Leela Venture has completed sale of its business to Canadian investment fund Brookfield and the proceeds of deal were used in payments to its lenders.

In March this year, Hotel Leela Venture had announced sale of its four hotels, including one in the national capital, and a property to Brookfield Asset Management for Rs 3,950 crore.
