Hooves and Harmonies Echo in Jaipur Ahead of Republic Day, Showcasing Rajasthan Police’s Valour and Culture

Jaipur, January 25, 2026 (Udaipur Kiran): On the eve of Republic Day, the Amar Jawan Jyoti complex in Jaipur resonated with patriotism, discipline, and cultural pride as the RAJASTHAN Police presented a grand Band and Equestrian Show. The evening spectacle captivated not only city residents but also tourists from across the country and abroad, offering a vivid display of the force’s rich heritage and professional excellence.

The ceremony was graced by the presence of Chief Secretary V Srinivas and Director General of Police Rajeev Kumar Sharma, whose attendance added dignity to the event. Against this backdrop, Rajasthan Police personnel showcased exemplary coordination, skill, and discipline, drawing applause from the audience gathered at the memorial.

A major highlight of the programme was the melodious performance by the Rajasthan Police Central Band and the Hadi Rani Women Battalion Pipe Band, both national gold medal-winning ensembles. Joined by the combined bands of the RAC and the Jaipur Police Commissionerate, the musicians filled the air with patriotic tunes. The synchronised march and musical harmony evoked an emotional response, with the venue echoing chants of “Jai Hind”.

Complementing the musical performances, the Rajasthan Police’s mounted contingent demonstrated remarkable horsemanship. The rhythmic sound of hooves and the disciplined formations lent the show a regal and courageous character, reflecting the seamless blend of traditional strength and modern training within the force.

The programme was organised under the guidance of Additional Director General (Armed Battalions) Rupinder Singh. Police officers, members of police families, CLG members, and a large number of citizens attended the event. With free entry for the public, many children and young people also witnessed the display, which further strengthened patriotic भावना ahead of Republic Day.

At the beginning of the ceremony, Chief Secretary V. Srinivas and DGP Rajeev Kumar Sharma paid floral tributes at Amar Jawan Jyoti in honour of the nation’s martyrs. Observing a moment of silence, they bowed in respect to the supreme sacrifice of the brave soldiers. The solemn tribute infused the gathering with deep patriotic fervour, setting a fitting tone for the Republic Day celebrations.
