
Honor Magic V3 was launched in China on July 12th. The flagship foldable smartphone features a book design and features several upgrades over its predecessor, including a 120Hz LTPO OLED display, Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC, and 66W fast charging. It was introduced with Magic Vs3 as part of the Magic V3 series. The camera system also has built-in artificial intelligence (AI) and user preference capabilities.
Honor Magic V3 price
The price of Honor Magic V3 starts at 8,999 yuan (approximately Rs. 104,000) for the 12GB and 256GB variants. The 12GB + 512GB and 16GB + 1TB storage configurations are priced at CNY 9,999 (approximately Rs. 115,000) and CNY 10,999 (approximately Rs. 127,000) respectively.
This smartphone will be available in China starting July 19 in four colors: black, green, red and white.
Specifications of Honor Magic V3
The Honor Magic V3 features a 7.92-inch Full HD+ LTPO OLED display with a resolution of 2344 x 2156 pixels and a 6.43-inch LTPO OLED display with a resolution of 2376 x 1060 pixels. Both displays support 4320 Hz pulse width modulation (PWM) for eye protection, pen input and maximum brightness of up to 5000 nits.
Under the hood, the phone is powered by the latest 3rd generation Snapdragon 8 chipset, paired with up to 16GB of LPDDR5x RAM and up to 512GB of UFS 4.0 storage. It runs on MagicOS 8.0.1 based on Android 14. This smartphone is also equipped with the exclusive Honor C1+ RF chip.
Coming to the optics, the Honor Magic V3 features a triple rear camera setup that includes a 50MP primary camera with optical image stabilization (OIS), a 50MP periscope lens, and a 40MP ultra-wide-angle camera. Equipped with a front-facing setup, there is a 40-megapixel wide-angle selfie camera. The camera system is equipped with artificial intelligence functions, such as a motion sensor with artificial intelligence.
The smartphone is powered by a 5150mAh carbon silicon battery that supports up to 66W wired fast charging and 50W wireless fast charging. As for connectivity, Magic V3 has dual SIM functionality with 5G, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.3, OTG and USB Type-C port. It has excellent navigation capabilities with BeiDou, GLONASS, Galileo and A-GPS support.
Depending on the variant, the foldable smartphone weighs 226 grams (leather) or 230 grams (glass). The dust and water resistance is IPX8. The Magic V3 also features the AI defocusing technology that Honor unveiled at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) Shanghai in June.
