New Delhi, October 29 (Udaipur Kiran): Honda Cars India has unveiled its ambitious plans for the future, confirming the arrival of its all-new 0 Series of electric vehicles. First showcased at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2024 in Las Vegas, the lineup included two futuristic prototypes — the 0 Saloon and the 0 SUV — both powered by Honda’s new Asimo Operating System.

According to a report by Autocar India, the 0 Series SUV is expected to make its India debut next year. The model will reportedly be brought to the country as a Completely Built Unit (CBU). Company officials, speaking on condition of anonymity, said Honda’s future portfolio for India will feature both Made-in-India and imported (CBU) models, with plans to bring several of its global products to Indian customers.
The 0 Series prototypes represent Honda’s next-generation family of electric vehicles, rooted in the Saloon and Space-Hub concepts presented at CES 2024. Honda confirmed that the 0 Saloon will serve as the flagship model of the series. By 2030, the company plans to introduce five more models across global markets, all designed under the brand’s new philosophy — “Thin, Light, and Wise.”
The upcoming 0 SUV will be among the first to enter production. Its design is described as bold and distinctive, featuring a blocky silhouette, upright windshield, and square-shaped rear section reminiscent of an MPV. The SUV is expected to be slightly smaller than the sedan but will likely retain most of its concept-inspired design elements. The unique exterior styling also helps create a more spacious interior, although its unconventional look may divide opinions in the Indian market.
Built on an all-new EV-dedicated platform, the 0 Series SUV is expected to feature an 80–90 kWh NMC battery pack, claimed to be 6% thinner than the ones used in Honda’s current EV models. This improvement could result in more cabin space. The SUV is expected to deliver a driving range of around 482 km on a single charge, while select markets might also get a 100 kWh battery option.
Honda is likely to offer the 0 SUV in both rear-wheel-drive (RWD) and all-wheel-drive (AWD) configurations. The entry-level variant may produce around 244 hp, while the top-end model could deliver up to 488 hp.
More details on the India-specific specifications, variants, and pricing are expected closer to the official launch in 2026.
