Honda Launches Two New Adventure Bikes in India

New Delhi, October 5, 2026 (Udaipur Kiran): Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India has launched two new adventure motorcycles, the XR300L and XR300 Rally, in the Indian market. The XR300L is priced at Rs 1.83 lakh (ex-showroom), while the XR300 Rally costs Rs 2.08 lakh (ex-showroom).

Both motorcycles are aimed at riders looking for a lightweight adventure bike that can be used for daily commuting as well as weekend rides, off-road trips and long-distance journeys.

Different Focus, Same Platform

The Honda XR300L and XR300 Rally are based on the same platform and use the same engine, but they have different designs and purposes.

The XR300L has been designed mainly for off-road riding and dirt tracks. The XR300 Rally gets a larger front fairing, a taller windscreen and additional bodywork. These features are aimed at providing better wind protection and more comfort during long highway rides.

286cc Engine

Both motorcycles are powered by a 286cc liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine. The engine produces around 24.3 bhp of power and 26.5 Nm of torque and is paired with a 6-speed gearbox.

The engine is designed to offer smooth performance and refinement. The relatively low weight of the motorcycles is another key advantage compared with larger adventure bikes.

Long-Travel Suspension and Off-Road Hardware

The bikes come with upside-down (USD) front forks and a rear monoshock with long travel. The setup is designed to handle uneven roads and off-road surfaces.

Both models also get disc brakes, spoke wheels and all-terrain tyres. This hardware makes them suitable for a mix of paved roads and rough surfaces.

Rivals in the Adventure Segment

With a starting price of Rs 1.83 lakh, the XR300L will compete with motorcycles such as the Hero Xpulse. The bikes will also attract buyers considering options such as the KTM Adventure 250 and Royal Enfield Himalayan.

The new Honda adventure motorcycles offer a combination of a lightweight design, off-road capability and a 286cc engine, making them an option for riders looking for an adventure bike for both everyday use and weekend touring.
