Udaipur, August 11, 2026: Hindustan Zinc has inaugurated a Common Service Centre in Bichhri village, within the operational area of its Zinc Smelter Debari, under its Samadhan Project. The centre will provide farmers and rural residents access to various government services at affordable rates and facilitate registration for social welfare schemes of the Central and Rajasthan governments.
The initiative aims to ensure that eligible beneficiaries can access government schemes more easily at the local level.
Around 60 Farmers Attend Inauguration
The inauguration programme was attended by Pawan Patidar, BAIF Rajasthan, Bichhri village; Ruchika Chawla, Head CSR, Zinc Smelter Debari; Deputy Sarpanch Lokesh Paliwal; Dharma; Babu Singh; and Chunnilal, Board of Director, GMFPO, along with other dignitaries.
Around 60 farmers from nearby villages participated in the event. Nearly 90% of the participants were women farmers, reflecting growing participation and awareness among rural women.
The initiative is aimed at empowering rural communities, improving their access to government services and promoting socio-economic development.
Digital Services to Help Farmers Access Schemes
During the programme, farmers were informed about the services available through the Common Service Centre and the benefits of various government welfare schemes.
The centre will help rural residents and farmers obtain information about government schemes and make online applications and registrations. It will also provide assistance with accessing required documents and services through digital platforms.
The initiative is expected to reduce the need for villagers to travel to distant government offices for various services. It will also help increase digital awareness among rural communities and make the process of accessing government schemes easier.
Farmers Welcome the Initiative
Farmers attending the programme welcomed the launch of the Common Service Centre in the Debari cluster and described it as a useful facility for local residents.
They said having such services available locally would save time and resources while making it easier for people to connect with government schemes.
