Strengthening Workplace Safety Through Effective Group Vocational Training Compliance
Udaipur, Rajasthan – Under the directives of the Directorate General of Mines Safety (DGMS), Udaipur Region (U.P.A.), Hindustan Zinc Limited successfully hosted a one-day workshop at its Rajpura Dariba Complex on the theme “Effective Functioning of Group Vocational Training in Compliance with Statutory Regulations.”
The event saw the participation of key industry leaders, mine safety experts, and senior officials from DGMS, including B. Dayasagar, Director of Mines Safety (Udaipur Region), Surjeet Katewa, Director of Mines Safety (Ajmer Region 1), along with other senior officials from DGMS. Also present at the workshop were Balwant Singh Rathore, IBU CEO of Rajpura Dariba Complex, and Kishore Kumar, IBU CEO of Agucha. Representatives from leading mining and cement companies such as Hindustan Zinc, Wonder Cement, RK Marbles, JK Cement, and UltraTech Cement also attended the session.

Speaking on the occasion, B. Dayasagar, Director of Mines Safety (Udaipur Region), emphasized the critical role of Group Vocational Training Centers (VTCs) in reinforcing safety standards. He stated:

The workshop delved into the statutory functioning of Group Vocational Training Centers, with DGMS officials and industry representatives conducting a detailed analysis of compliance standards.
