Hindustan Zinc Celebrates 80th Independence Day Across All Units

Udaipur : Hindustan Zinc Limited, one of the world’s largest integrated zinc producers and among the top 10 silver producers, celebrated the 80th Independence Day with enthusiasm across its operational units in Rajasthan and Uttarakhand.

The celebrations were organised at the company’s head office and all its units, featuring flag hoisting, plantation drives and parades involving employees, business partners and community members. Various units also organised cultural programmes, including plays and dance performances.

Hindustan Zinc, the country’s largest producer of zinc, lead and silver, has been a long-standing contributor to India’s growth and progress.

CEO Amrendu Prakash Addresses Employees

Addressing the flag-hoisting ceremony at Hindustan Zinc’s head office in Udaipur, CEO Amrendu Prakash said Independence reminds people of their responsibilities and the commitment to build a better India for future generations.

He highlighted the importance of youth participation at Hindustan Zinc and said the company is moving forward in the spirit of an Atmanirbhar Bharat.

Prakash said producing high-quality metals is essential for India’s journey towards becoming an economic and manufacturing powerhouse. He added that the company is committed to supporting the nation’s development by strengthening its capabilities and advancing growth through innovative product solutions.

He also said Hindustan Zinc is working to firmly establish India on the global map of responsible mining.

Flag Hoisting at Debari and Zawar Mines

At Hindustan Zinc’s Zinc Smelter Debari, the Independence Day programme was attended by SBU Director Vivek Yadav as the chief guest, who hoisted the national flag.

At Zawar Mines, IBU CEO Anshul Khandelwal hoisted the national flag during the Independence Day celebrations.
