Shimla, October 23 (Udaipur Kiran): Tourists planning to visit Himachal Pradesh this winter have a reason to celebrate. The Himachal Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation (HPTDC) has announced a special Winter Discount Scheme, offering 20% to 40% off on stays at its government-run hotels between November 1 and December 20, 2025.
According to an order issued by HPTDC General Manager Anil Taneja, the offer will be applicable across 44 HPTDC hotels in the state. However, the discount will not apply at Hotel Bushahr Regency in Rampur during the Lavi Fair (November 11–15) and at Hotel Renuka in Renuka Ji during the Renuka Fair (November 1–5).
Some of HPTDC’s flagship properties will offer up to 40% discount, including Log Huts in Manali, Apple Blossom in Fagu, Palace Hotel in Chail, and New Ros Common in Kasauli. A 30% discount will be available at hotels such as The Dhauladhar (Dharamshala), Tea Bud (Palampur), The Heights (Chintpurni), Lake View (Bilaspur), Pinewood (Barog), Palace Hotel (Annexe, Chail), and Golf Glade (Naldehra).
Guests can also enjoy a 25% discount at Holiday Home (Shimla) and Hotel Renuka (Renuka Ji). Meanwhile, 20% discounts will apply at several other popular HPTDC properties, including Hotel Hamir (Hamirpur), Suket (Sundernagar), Chanshal (Rohru), Noopur (Nurpur), Iravati (Chamba), Baghal (Darlaghat), Jwalamukhi (Jwalamukhi), Hilltop (Swarghat), Kunal (Dharamshala), Shivalik (Parwanoo), Yamuna (Paonta Sahib), Pong Dam Camp Site, Giriganga (Kharapathar), Shrikhand (Sarahan), Sarvari (Kullu), Hatu (Narkanda), Geetanjali (Dalhousie), and Peterhof (Shimla), among others.
HPTDC has instructed all hotel units to intensify promotional efforts during this period to attract more visitors and revive tourism.
Industry experts believe the initiative will boost Himachal’s tourism sector, which suffered major setbacks due to heavy rainfall and landslides between July and September. The winter discount scheme is expected to revive hotel occupancy and attract tourists eager to enjoy the snowy charm of Himachal.
Normal tariffs will be reinstated from December 21 onwards. HPTDC’s move is being hailed as a golden opportunity for tourists looking to experience the winter beauty of Himachal at affordable rates.
