
One was reported dead while the rescue operation continued to save two of the passengers who had climb on top of the car and saved themselves from drowning. On Saturday late night, a biker was swept away in Chhoti Veerva area under Jhallara police station who was rescued by villagers. In Ambamata area of Udaipur city, heavy rains caused a tree fell on a house, luckily no casualty was reported.
A mud house collapse in Sarada block too was reported. With the continuous inflow from hills, water level has seen increase in Gomti, Kharka, Jamri, Siroli, Karawali Makredi, Bambori and other seasonal streams in the district. On one hand while the rains has brought relief to the farmers after a prolonged dry spell, on the other hand life has become hard for people in rural areas who suffered irregular power supply.
