Jaipur : In view of the heavy rainfall alert issued by the Jaipur Meteorological Centre, district administrations in several parts of RAJASTHAN have announced school holidays. Dholpur, Bhilwara, and Banswara districts will observe closures for varying durations due to safety concerns for students.

According to the forecast, heavy to very heavy rain is likely in parts of Rajasthan from 28 to 30 July. In response, all Anganwadi centres and schools from Class 1 to 12, both government and private, will remain closed in Dholpur from 28 to 30 July. In Bhilwara and Banswara, schools will be closed on 28 and 29 July.
Orders Issued Under Disaster Management Act
Dholpur District Collector Shreenidhi B.T. invoked powers under the Disaster Management Act, 2005, to declare holidays for all Anganwadi centres and schools in the district in light of the IMD’s warning. The decision aims to ensure student safety during the anticipated heavy rains.
Similarly, Bhilwara District Collector Jasmeet Singh Sandhu issued a comparable directive for his district. Both officials stressed that while students are granted leave, school and Anganwadi staff will continue their duties as usual.
Strict Action Against Rule Violation
Dholpur Collector also clarified that the order applies strictly to students and Anganwadi centres. Any school or Anganwadi found operating during the specified period will face action under provisions of the Disaster Management Act, 2005.
