Google may soon introduce a new feature for Pixel Watch owners. According to reports, the wearable could support the Find My Device network in the Pixel Watch app. The tech giant launched its Find My Device network for Android devices globally in April this year. Find your smartphone and accessories using a crowdsourced network of all Android users to find your missing or lost device. No internet connection is required to locate lost items. A new report suggests that this feature may soon be coming to Pixel Watch owners.

According to 9to5Google, when you uninstall the Pixel Watch app APK version 2.5.0.652251118, the “Find My Watch” setting appears. This setting allows Pixel Watch users to remotely lock, search, and wipe their data even when the device is offline or without an internet connection. Crowdsourcing networks are expected to be used to locate devices.
The current version of the Pixel Watch app only allows users to use a shortcut button to open the Find My Device app. Currently, Pixel Watch models must be connected to a paired smartphone or have an active cellular network to successfully use the Find My Device feature.

In related news, Google will soon unveil the Pixel Watch 3. Previous leaks suggested that the tech giant’s next-generation smartwatch is expected to come in a variety of sizes and connectivity options. The vanilla Pixel 3 models are available in 41mm and 45mm sizes and are available in both cellular and Wi-Fi versions. There may also be an option for a larger Pixel Watch 3XL.
Similar to the existing Pixel Watch 2, the Pixel Watch 3 is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon W5 SoC along with a custom processor. Supports ultra-wideband (UWB) chipsets. The 41mm and 45mm versions are likely to feature 2000-nit displays with 408 x 408 pixels and 456 x 456 pixels, respectively. The smaller version may have a 310mAh battery while the 45mm variant has a 420mAh battery.
