Google Pixel 8a Price, Colour, Storage Options Leaked; Could Be More Expensive Than Pixel 7a

Google released the Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro last October. Rumors about the Pixel 8a are currently circulating online, suggesting that it could be launched in May. The phone was previously expected to be in the mid-range segment, but a new report suggests that the Pixel 8a could be more expensive than its predecessor, the Pixel 7a, at least in the EU. It is expected to be available in 128GB and 256GB storage variants. Available in four colors. The Pixel 8a is expected to be powered by the Google Tensor G3 SoC.

As reported by Winfuture.de (German), the Pixel 8a will be priced at €570 (roughly Rs. 51,000) for the base variant with 128GB of internal storage. The 256GB variant will reportedly cost €630 (roughly Rs. 56,000). If this leak turns out to be true, it will represent a significant improvement over the Pixel 7a’s starting price of €499 (roughly Rs. 45,000).

The Pixel 8a comes in Bay (blue), Mint (light green), Obsidian (black) and Ceramic (brown). However, not all results may be available for both storage types.

Launched in India last May, the Google Pixel 7a was priced at Rs 43,999 for the 8GB RAM + 128GB storage model. Pricing rumors could pit the Pixel 8a against competitors in the market like the OnePlus 12R, Nothing Phone 2, and the Galaxy S23 FE.

Google is expected to unveil the Pixel 8a at its I/O event in May. It is said to have a 6.1-inch display with a 90Hz refresh rate and is powered by the Google Tensor G3 SoC with 8GB of RAM. The phone may house a 5,000mAh battery that supports 27W fast wired charging.
